This cooperative was founded in 2006, when 50 farmers from five villages came together to rebuild coffee farms abandoned during years of civil war. What started as a recovery effort has grown into a strong, organized network of over 2,100 members across 39 villages, focused on improving quality, yields, and traceability. By taking full control of the production process—from cultivation to export—members have been able to earn higher prices for coffee that’s incredibly complex and consistently standout. It’s no surprise this coffee has become a key ingredient in several of our favorite blends. Tasting notes: sweet earth, green pepper, and red fruit, with a syrupy body and a finish that doesn’t fade quietly. Bold, layered, and built to hold your attention.
