Blessed Pier Giorgio one of the most important Saints in our Church today, co-patron of the Italian Youth and a Role Model for our young people for today.He was known as the man of the 8 beatitudes. He was part of the Catholic Social Justice and Society of Saint Vincent de Paul. HIs charitable outreach had no limits, he would always help & assisted the poor. He was an avid mountaineer. ( That is why, he is know by the image of this statue) He was born in Turin, Italy.  He died on July 4, 1925 due to polio. His last words were " May I breathe forth my soul in peace with you".  His remains are in Turin Cathedral and upon further inspection in 1981 found that his body was incorrupt.
