This wood hair pin is handcrafted from Zirocote. Average size 5 1/2" - 5 3/4" long. We've been making wood hair pin for over 25 years. They have a specially designed shaped top and profile (curving in and back out again - like an hourglass) which helps them maintain a tight firm hold in the hair. Edges are smoothed and transitions are eased for a no snag safe hold in your hair. Zirocote - (Cordia dodecandra - Africa)  Ziricote is quite striking in appearance often with “spider-web” or landscape figuring in shades of greys and olive greens with black. Increasingly used in high end guitars and sound equipment. Expensive.
