A large American Abstract Expressionist acyrilic on canvas painting by Pacific Northwest artist Frederick Heidel ( 1915-2000), titled "Wire Performance", Oregon, 1993.This is a large & later work by the artist, with various hues of blue with warmer inflections of orange, green, and pink. It depicts a circus high wire act, with a tall ladder to the high wire and figures in gymnastic poses.This large painting is housed in the original simple wooden frame, it is signed lower right "Heidel", to the verso are two old gallery labels, one from the Foster White Gallery in Seattle and the other from the Laura Russo Gallery, Portland.Frederick Heidel is featured in the book, "Oregon Painters: the First Hundred Years (1859-1959)", the painting is in excellent condition and is ready to grace your wall.
