Athyrium angustum forma rubellum 'Lady in Red' This fern has beautiful, dramatic, foliage -the light green fronds burst out from the vivid red-violet stems giving a very nice contrast and interest to your garden.It's easy to grow and prefers rich, medium to wet, well-drained soil. Terrific in containers, as a ground cover, and for woodland gardens. Frond color is best when planted in part shade and the red stem color is most vibrant after the second winter dormancy. Deciduous. Leaves may be trimmed to the ground in late fall or early spring. Plants are easily divided in spring, every 3 to 4 years.  Arrives to you in a gallon-sized pot.
