Cherry Tree 'Blackgold Semi-dwarf'

A self-pollinating cherry tree, Blackgold Semi-Dwarf produces an abundance of sweet, dark red fruit that ripens later than most to avoid any late spring frosts. Expect prolific blossoms in April, giving away to clusters of beautiful cherries that are sweet, tangy and juicy.  Fruit is heart shaped, and deep red, almost black. Be sure to plant your cherry tree in an area that receives full sun and has well draining soil. Standing water or overly wet soil will cause problems with out cherry trees. Be sure to water heavily during its first growing season to help establish strong roots. Although you do not need another cherry tree to pollinate Blackgold, having other nearby varieties will result in greater fruit yields over time. Arrives to you in a 7 gallon pot.
