Water Arcade | Crochet Pattern

Modern quilts are truly a source of inspiration for me. In particular, I love how artists of this craft have taken a skillset of days gone by and modernized the look to appear more contemporary, without sacrificing any of the traditional attention to detail and craftsmanship. This project is a crocheter’s take on these modern quilts, as it combines a bright, cheerful palette with a contemporary geometric pattern. My inspiration for this particular project was the push button water arcade toy of my childhood. I tried to capture the sense of the balls falling through the water by placing the colors in a gradient design.
