59.2% ABV, 700 ml, Glengyle Distillery, Campbeltown This bottle has no "tube" or other packaging. "Peat in Progress" Kilkerran Heavily Peated has been matured in of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks, adding a fruity, sweet character alongside the savory peat centre. The nose is full of fresh apple, strawberry and boiled sweet aromas, with an undercurrent of wood-smoke and toasted marshmallows. The palate offers notes of buttery popcorn, brown sugar, freshly-baked pastry and peppermint creams, before developing into vanilla, butter, toasted oats and sea-salt that linger in the finish.
