New to the Blackbird collection, the champagne diamond briolette necklace is a delicate layer with subtle sparkle The briolette cut is the oldest known stone cut, pre-dating rosecuts and mine cuts. Explorer French Jean-Baptiste Tavernier brought briolettes back from his travels to India in the 17th century and the cut soon became popular with royalty and aristocrates across Europe. Napolean Bonaparte gifted a ten diamond briolette necklace to Empress Marie Louise; this necklace now lives at the Smithsonian in Washington D.C. Each 3mm diamond is hand cut and linked by 14k yellow gold wire. 16" of pure poetry, finished with a 14 carat swivel clasp.
