Dummy Axel for bicycle packing

In response to the demand of our "not-a-bike-bag" in the last couple years, we have recently developed a few packing supply accessories. Traditionally, we've recommended that you put a block of wood between your front fork drop outs and another for your rear drop outs to make a sturdy support that keeps the rear end of your bike from getting crushed together. These hand lathed dummy axels are made here in Portland, Oregon from solid aluminum rod stock by a local Bike-polo player/professional machinist. They have been tested on many flights domestically and even internationally. We now feel they are fully dialed and ready for their debut on our website!  These are now anodized the size of them is laser engraved on the surface of the axel!, a new price in on the horizon to reflect this higher quality processing  Currently they are $20 each or $40 for a pair.
