1955 Fender Twin Amp 5E8

The Fender 5E8 tweed Twin Amp is considered by many the perfect stage and recording amp. It offers 50 watts from two 6L6 output tubes through a pair of 12” Jensen speaker in a finger jointed pine cab. The 50 watt narrow panel circuit using two 5U4 rectifier tubes was a big improvement compared to the previous 25 watt wide panel 5D8 amp with two 5Y3 rectifier tubes. This example features a newly restored tweed covering and historically correct leather handle. the 5E8 circuit is original, unmodified, and fully serviced including fresh filter caps, and a grounded three prong cord. The original matched pair gold label Alnico speakers are strong with original cones. The sound is authentic golden era Fender tweed tone.  A rare opportunity to purchase a holy grail tweed amp in clean condition.
