Ameliaranne Keeps Shop was written in 1928 by Constance Heward, beautifully illustrated by one of our favorite children's illustrators, Susan Beatrice Pearse. This antique children's book tells the tale of a Ameliaranne Stiggins, a young girl left in charge of the local shop. She runs the store, curls her hair, and thwarts a thief. All in a day's work! Amerliaranne Keeps Shop was part of a popular series of Amerliaranne books in the 1920s.   BIXLEY NOTES• Ameliaranne Keeps Shop• Written by Constance Heward• Full-Color Illustrations by Susan Beatrice Pearse• Linen hardcover, library copy• Published by David McKay Company, 1928• Measures 8 1/2" x 5 3/4" VINTAGE NOTES• In very good condition• Covers show some minor shelf-wear• Binding is nice and tight• Dust jacket missing• Library markings• Pages are in very good condition At Bixley, forgotten treasures are looking for a home to call their own.
