Lamberton Dorothea 51-Piece Dinnerware Collection for Eight
Well known for manufacturing quality industry-related china, the Trenton, N.J. based Lamberton Works introduced new fine china patterns to post World War 2 American homes, among them the Dorothea pattern. Finely decorated with bright gold trim, Dorothea presents an ivory background, decorated with a vase-appearing to be made of palms tied together with a yellow ribbon- which holds gentle red and yellow flowers and green leaf. This design uniquely details french gray and yellow colored stems breaking away from the vase stem to burst into scrolled, epergne-like, leaf patterns of blue and pink flowers. Elegant, translucent but sturdy American china. Not microwave safe; hand washing is recommended.
