Iron-on Rim Tape Supporting Strips for Dry Mounting

Known as Zhu-tiao (supporting strip) in mounting and framing shops, these supporting strips are commonly used in traditional Chinese silk scroll mounting or framing. The strips are available in a brown color with a silicone heat-sensitive adhesive backing for easy application. Use these strips as a supporting edge around the original painting before attaching the silk margins, leaving 1-1.5 mm between the painting and the silk brocade margin. They can also serve as a finishing rim strip to wrap the edge of the silk scroll, providing an elegant and secure touch.
