*NOTE: On side 1, there is a mark that plays 10 times lightly a few rotations into track 6, "Let It Be." On side 2, there is an audible swoosh that plays 10 times at a moderate level at the start of track 1, "I’ve Got a Feeling." At its best, Let It Be has the power of live music, but it takes a special pressing such as this one to show you that sound. It's a bit trickier trying to find good sound for this album than it is for some of the other albums in the Beatles' catalog. This vintage Apple pressing has the kind of Tubey Magical Midrange that modern records can barely BEGIN to reproduce. Folks, that sound is gone and it sure isn't showing signs of coming back. If you love hearing INTO a recording, actually being able to "see" the performers, and feeling as if you are listening live or sitting in the studio with the band, this is the record for you.
