The SAM Splint is used by emergency care providers and outdoor enthusiasts worldwide (even on NASA space shuttles) and is based on the principle that curves are strong. The SAM® SPLINT is built from a thin core of aluminum alloy, between two layers of closed-cell foam. The SAM Splint is used for a multitude of medical emergencies to include broken bones, fractures, sprains and any injury that warrants the immobilization of a limb, appendage or body part.
