LOCATION: Berkeley Farm | 95 Ridge Drive, Greenbrier DATE/TIME: August 16th, 9:00AM-12:00PM Baking sourdough can be intimidating if you've never done it, but our Sourdough Baking Class will make you a pro in no time! In this beginner friendly course, you’ll learn the step by step basics of creating and maintaining an active & healthy sourdough starter and all of the proper steps to baking a perfectly delicious sourdough bread. You’ll get hands-on practice with things like proper measurement techniques, kneading, and stretching & folding dough. We will have an in depth discussion and demonstration on fermentation & baking techniques. Each participate will leave with a ready to bake sourdough loaf, an active and healthy starter, a sourdough mixing bowl, and the knowledge on proper sourdough maintenance and baking. We recommend that you bring a pen and paper for note taking. All other supplies are provided for you during class. This class is held indoors in our farm
