A Complete History of Connecticut: Civil and Ecclesiastical, Two Volumes - Trumbull, Benjamin, 1898

The complete title reads: "A Complete History of Connecticut Civil and Ecclesiastical from the Emigration of its First Planters, from England, in the Year 1630, to the Year 1764: and to the Close of the Indian Wars". Originally published in Hartford in 1797 this volume is a 100th year anniversary tribute to the author's "most careful, minute, and conscientious chronicle of the colonial history of the State which has ever been written." (Jonathan Trumbull, 1898 in the introduction.)     Neither volume is within a dust jacket. Volume I contains 495 pages including its index and Volume II contains 475 pages with its index. Published in New London, CT: H. D. Utley   CONDITION   Both volumes of this two volume, hardcover set are in very good+ condition in tan buckram cloth covered boards with gilt text stamping on the spines. The set is clean with no prior ownership markings.   The binding are intact, some discoloration/age spotting to boards. There is a small stain to the bottom of spine V
