Rare, vintage, land snail shell beads 8-10mm diameter 23-inch strand, only one available Bought in Abidjan, Ivory Coast mid-1970s Snail shell beads are thinner than Clam Shell heishi and much thinner than Ostrich Eggshell heishi. They also have a soft grey tone, as opposed to the white or creamy color of other African shell beads.
