Original baseball card art If the year was 1915 and you attended a baseball game, you probably would've bought a box of Cracker Jacks to snack on. Inside that box, you may have found a single baseball card... perhaps Ty Cobb, Shoeless Joe Jackson, or Honus Wagner. The backs of these cards instructed collectors to send 100 Cracker Jack coupons to the Chicago office of Rueckheim Bros. & Eckstein in order to redeem a full set of 176 cards. This piece was created with a 1915 replica set, printed in 1993 to celebrate the snack's 100th anniversary. Today, the brand is owned by Frito Lay (PepsiCo). The diamond-shaped artwork references baseball’s infield, and is made on plywood as a nod to the game's wooden bats.
