Day Wines Tears of Vulcan Orange Wine

Back from the fiery depths! Our 2019 Tears of Vulcan continues our tradition of bright, floral, citrusy, textural, skin contact orange wine. Made of 57% Viognier, 23% Pinot gris and 20% Muscat from two organic vineyards in the Chehalem Mtns AVA of the Willamette Valley. The fruit was on its skins for all of primary fermentation; 23 days. Then it was pressed and went through elevage in neutral French oak with one new Acacia barrel in the mix (approximately 6% new Acacia barrel). The barrels were blended in stainless steel and bottled, unfiltered, on April 27th. Size: 750mL ABV 12.6% Suggested food pairings: Shellfish, Poultry, Pork Suggested cheese pairings: Feta, Chevre
