Pre-Owned Recording King RK-Elite-85 Maple Bluegrass Banjo With Case

Pre Owned, Excellent Condition, just minor play wear! Some of the most beautiful figured maple we’ve seen!  These are no longer available and are very desirable banjos.   The Elite 85 is made in the likeness of one of the most famous banjos ever, Earl Scruggs’ personal signature model banjo. This was basically a Gibson Granada, which Gibson had the original gold parts replaced with nickel parts to wear longer for Earl!   This banjo takes everything we love about the Madison Series, and adds features and attention to detail which more than justifies the extra price in my opinion.  It more closely replicates the original Mastertone banjos of the 1930's, while having a classic Mastertone-style tone ring, true steam-bent 3-ply maple rim, and one piece flange...it also sports visual improvements with classic design features like the vintage-style double-cut Recording King peghead, classic inlay patterns, and gorgeous curly maple on the neck and resonator.  It just looks more like an origin
