
Spoon Rest Hibiscus
We are pleased to accept Red Hibiscus orders until Christmas! A spoon rest is a kitchenware item used to hold spoons and other utensils while cooking, helping keep countertops clean by preventing cooking fluids from dripping onto them. The bright yellow hibiscus, also known as Pua Aloalo or Ma’o-hau-hele, was designated as Hawaii’s official state flower in 1988. This showy, tropical bloom has a storied history intertwined with Hawaii’s culture. Additionally, on the beautiful island of Kauai, you’ll find white hibiscus ("Koki'o Ke'oke'o") blossoms adding to the island’s natural beauty. These delicate flowers are a symbol of the island’s lushness and vibrant spirit. Our pottery features original designs by Kaua’i artist. Each piece is hand painted by our team, using lead free glazes and fired in solar-powered kilns.
