Small In Stock 2-3 Week Estimated Leadtime Medium 8-10 Week Estimated Leadtime Large and XL    ~SOLD IN PAIRS~   The 26605 Triple-curve hard armor SAPI plate is certified NIJ 0101.06 Level IV Stand Alone. Manufactured from high-density, reinforced alumina ceramic core (Al2O3) backed with lightweight layered polymer composite fiber and finished in a black Cordura Nylon Covering. A foam pad is affixed to the Strike Face in order to protect against severe and repeated drops. NIJ standards require 2 drops. These plates must pass the internal 10 drop test and are inspected via X-Ray prior to environmental and ballistic testing. The 26605 is a newer, upgraded version of the 26148 and 26135 series with a lighter backer plate, enhanced ceramics and a foam pad on the face to help protect against severe drops The materials used in the fabrication of these plates allows for projectiles to be absorbed within the plate itself, preventing dangerous spall as is common with steel plates.
