Agate Plume Rug by Tantuvi
Agate's undulating color bands evoke the visually rich terrain of northern India, where natural rock formations and man-made quarries expose multi-hued layers of stone and sand. Agate is made from finely spun cotton that's been tightly woven on a panja loom using 30% more fiber than typical flatweaves, making it much more durable and comfortable than most - a modern heirloom for your world. Each rug takes a single artisan between four weeks and two months to finish. 100% fine Indian cotton, hand-dyed in Jaipur Size: 8' x 10' Hand-woven in Rajasthan on panja looms 1/4" thick with a lighter weight and hand-bound edges Vacuum and spot-clean as needed with cold water, a mild dish or hand soap, and a soft brush About Tantuvi After spending much of 2010 traveling through India, designer Arati Rao established Tantuvi, while reconnecting with her ancestral roots and cultivating a relationship with India's hand-loom textile traditions.
