From weddings to graduations to ofrendas, I have made papel picado for all of life’s moments: from birth to death and everything in between. I thought about how beautiful we are and how that is always worth celebrating, proudly.So, yesterday the creation of these Brown Is Beautiful banners came to me. My Dad used to say this to us kids, growing up. I wish I could hang this message in every school, every library, everywhere.
