Manufacturer: UnkownModel Number: C 226  1  2 Date Sold:  January 23rd, 2018 Sold on Ebay for: $3150.00   A Big and Beautiful WWI Mahogany and Copper display propeller for the Classic Curtiss JN-4 "Jenny" with the Curtiss OX-5 engine in Very Good Condition.This wonderful propeller features 6 laminations of Mahogany, excellent copper edges, engravings, beautiful wood grain and finish. The 8 bolt holes match the Curtiss OX-5 engine (water-cooled 8 cylinder making 90HP). We believe this propeller was manufactured around 1916-19. The Curtiss JN-4 "Jenny" was the classic training aircraft of WWI and the premier barnstorming aircraft after the war. The "witness marks" around the hub show that this was a flown propeller (not surplus).Engravings: C 226 1 2Condition: Very nice for a near 100 year old propeller.
