The Ant House Block Set is inspired by Canadian writer and illustrator Marianne Dubuc’s “Here comes Mr. Postmouse” picture book. In our Homeland collection I wanted to include homes and lives of other creatures, and encourage children to explore more complex ecosystem on our planet by playing. I chose ants represent this role, cause ants are so small yet they have a big influence in our co-existing. This block set has a vast diversity of pieces which allows it to be used for open-ended play, STEAM play, pretend play and even stacking challenges. Explore the complex social structure of ants society and division of labor: set includes queen ant and worker ants. Create the tunnels of the ant nest and set different chambers.
