Granville Basalt Pinot Noir 2023

2022 vintage notes Granville’s newish Basalt line (Pinot and Chardonnay) use eye-poppingly great fruit sources; in the case of the ‘22 Pinot, Koosah, Temperance Hill, and their Holstein estate. Such a cool wine with deep and pure red fruits accented by Christmas spices. This hits the highs and the lows, echoing long through the finish. We’ve loved watching the evolution and growth of Granville, both figuratively and literally. Adding kids to the family, adding vineyards and staff, growing a winery and developing a tasting room–Jackson and Ayla are wonderful people who you want to cheer for. And their wines have evolved, too, showing increasing refinement and poise gained from maturity and experience.
