This is a 4-day Avalanche Science REC1+ course in Iceland. Dates listed correspond to field days. The Internet-ZOOM classroom sessions will be communicated once participants register. Course space is limited. Register ASAP to reserve your space. Avalanche Science courses are closed with 6 participants.  This 4-day REC1+ course for a maximum of six participants. This course includes Avalanche Level 1 and AAA Rescue module integrated into Avalanche Science's REC1+ course. Prerequisite: Able to ski powder snow and familiar with ski touring (on skis or split-board) equipment. Pre-course material: 4-hour online Course Format: 1-day- internet-ZOOM classroom sessions scheduled from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Three days of fieldwork and backcountry ski touring.
