
Pair of 'LC2' Leather Club Chairs by Le Corbusier for Cassina, c 1970s, Signed
This incredibly comfortable pair of early year production examples of the Le Corbusier for Cassina 'LC2' club chairs (authentic signed examples, see pics) in its original gorgeous thick and supple Italian cognac color leather are in beautiful vintage condition and ready to be immediately placed in your home or office. The LC2 was designed in 1928 by Le Corbusier; his cousin and colleague Pierre Jeanneret; and Charlotte Perriand. Produced by Cassina from 1965 to today, these authentic examples are embossed on the frames with model number, production serial numbers, Le Corbusier's signature and Cassina logo. The seat cushions have (underneath) Cassina and Atelier International (AI) labels. These examples produced circa mid 1970s to early 1980s based on construction details. What is special about this pair is that they are early year models distributed by Atelier International (AI) who distributed for Cassina in the 1970s and early 1980s before they changed ownership in mid 1980s.
