This incredible model #133 leather sofa by Roger Sprunger for Dunbar features gorgeous medium brown leather and Mahogany 'bracket back' legs, perfect for floating the sofa in the room. Fine details such as the buttoned seat back and buttoned loose cushions, Mahogany bracket back legs and classic tuxedo styling have made this the quintessential 1950s American Mid-Century Modern sofa for collectors, connoisseurs and interior designers alike. The "Bracket Back" or also named "Ladder Back" sofa by Dunbar has been previously attributed to Edward Wormley by repute, however as documented in the vintage advertisement (shown in last photo in this listing), the design is credited to Roger Sprunger for Dunbar. The leather color is a medium brown, but can also be described as caramel brown and also close to what is called "cognac" brown with hints of orange and red.
