Light blue Aquamarine crystal specimen with gemmy clarity, glassy luster and flat termination, from Thuong Xuan district in Vietnam. This gem quality mini Aquamarine thumbnail specimen is a rare find, originally collected in 2020.  In ancient times, Vietnam was renowned for having the most brilliant blue Aquamarine in the world. It became highly valuable and sought after by gem cutters, who would buy up all of the crystals for cutting and faceting into gemstones. Very few crystals were saved, causing these Aquamarine specimens from Vietnam to become rare.
