Duck Decoy, Red-breasted Merganser Drake Gary Lawrence (1940-2024) Binghamton, NY c.2000's 16" long Avid carving competitor starting at the Ward Worlds in the late 1970's, Gary would go on to win many ribbons and compete all over the Eastern, U.S. Capturing realism in his works, this merganser is in a common seen life-like swimming pose. The paint is nicely done with deep vermiculation on the sides and wrapping around the back below the slightly raised wings.
