1/10 Allison Model 501-D13 Prop-Jet Engine Plastic Model Kit, Skill Level 3

Allison Prop Jet 501-D13 Engine Model Overview: Replicating Allison 501–D13 Turboprop Aircraft Engines, this model kit includes all of the pieces to craft a manually operated model engine. This is a great kit for young engineers to get some basic, hands-on experience with engine construction. The finished model also makes a unique historical display. E ach of the model's plastic pieces are labeled with step order and are color-coded in four different colors. Included with the kit is a thin historical pamphlet about the Allison engine. Several of the steps require plastic cement to assemble, while some rest in place. Several of the steps recommend thin machine oil or Vaseline as lubricant for specific moving parts, as stressed in the instruction manual. Recommended age is 14+, and building time may take an hour and ten minutes or longer. Only cement for polystyrene plastic may be used for this kit, required but not included.
