Handmade Cotton Futon w/Removable Mura Red Cover. Shiki Futon.

This cotton futon is 100% hand made to order in the USA in our New Bedford, MA factory.  It features a removable cover made of 100% Cotton from Japan.  We have been making and using this design since 1995. Custom sizes available! Our futons are handmade with 90% Cotton with the minimum amount of spun polyester wrapping to meet mandatory Federal Flammability requirements. The cotton is selected by us to be very clean and odor-free. We do not use any boric acid powder or flame retardant chemicals in our futons (as other cheaper futons do). The futon shell is made from 100% unbleached cotton. Our futons are completely hand made in the traditional Japanese style. It takes 2 craftsmen at least 4 hours to complete each futon. They are hand tufted as in Japan and feature ties and tufts on the futon and the corners.
