Explore the ancient art of encaustic painting—a technique that uses heated beeswax mixed with pigment to create luminous, layered works of art. In this 1.5-hour hands-on workshop, you’ll create four mini encaustic paintings using natural materials and professional tools, all while learning the fundamentals of this sensory-rich medium. Local artist and expressive arts facilitator Eirene Archolekas will guide the session. A member of the International Expressive Arts Therapy Association, Eirene brings years of experience teaching and creating across Europe and the U.S. Her encaustic work is deeply inspired by nature and ancestral traditions, making her an insightful and skilled instructor for both beginners and seasoned creatives.
