Embroidered Souvenir Jacket [XL]

Handmade, one of a kind souvenir jacket. Inspired by 1940s souvenir garments from WW2. Many US servicemen that were stationed overseas purchased gifts for their sweethearts, which were sent in the mail or gifted upon their return. These garments often represented the culture and traditions of where they were located during the war and were brought back to the US as souvenirs.  Made from vintage 1950s silk crepe tablecloth with the most stunning embroidery. Has a beautiful subtle sheen that I can’t quite capture in the photos on this gloomy day. Lined with a satin jacquard. Has two front pockets and ribbed cuffs and waistband.  Finished with a vintage brass Talon zipper closure. Leather zipper pull and black rivets at the pockets.  Overall, the materials are in good condition with no major flaws. Flat felled seams throughout, no raw edges present.  Gender neutral.
