A final coating of black nitride is applied to offer superior wear resistance and to minimize friction, a key factor in preserving engine power. The black nitride coating on the valve head provides excellent protection against wear and corrosion while drastically reducing friction between the valve stem and guide. Lower friction means higher power output. These valves are expertly designed to boost both intake and exhaust airflow through the cylinder head, thereby improving engine performance. BLOX Racing valves also contribute to an increase in engine compression by approximately 0.3 points.
