Ching Yeh Pork Floss - 16 oz

Pork floss, also known as rousong, abon, pork sung, or yuk sung, is a dried cooked pork product originating from China. Rousong has a texture similar to coarse cotton and is used as a topping for congee, rice balls, pastries, and eaten as a snack. Pork floss has a sweet, savory, and rich meaty flavor that complements many dishes. Rousong is made by stewing cuts of pork and then shredding the meat. The shredded meat is then dried and cooked in a work until almost dried with flavors added.   Pork fu is softer in texture than pork sung which is a bit crispy and commonly used to top bakery buns and pastries.
