NASA SPACE SHUTTLE PROGRAM LARGE STEEL THREADED BOLT / STUD

Authentic NASA Space Shuttle large, heavy stainless steel threaded stud/bolt. This device came from NASA Space Shuttle inventory.  The bolt is 9 inches long, with a threaded portion, and 3 inches in diameter at the widest point. It's very substantial as would be expected of hardware that has to withstand the extreme conditions encountered by the Shuttle, and weighs nearly 9 pounds. It will stand up, so it makes a great display piece. The bolt was made by North American Aviation, and has numerous markings including: V074-560114-001 Track #2614 NV0-074A-001-0166 MR DR 1807-000M NV0-074A-001-0148 ADZ 812 There is also a quality assurance stamp "ANM 104" and an illegible hand etched serial number. The unit is marked SCRAPPED.  It came from the estate of Charles Bell, a former NASA engineer and collector of space program hardware.
