Kanaga masks are among the very colorful masks in Dogon territories of Mali and Burkina Faso. They are danced by many people at once, creating a very moving and emotionally charged scene. This mask represents a bird "kommolo tebu". According to the myth, the hunter who killed the very first of such birds created a mask in its image.
