This was taken from underneath the Brooklyn Bridge which ofcourse is older than the Manhattan Bridge and was designed by John A. Roebling a steel manufacturer based in Trenton New Jersey.  Unfortunatley he died shortly after construction of the Brooklyn Bridge began and the work  to oversee the project's completion fell to his son Washington Roebling.    The Roebling Steel company no longer exists.  However, her steel still sparks wonder and joy in millions of people on both coasts of the United States of America.  The cables on the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco and Marin California were manufactured by Roebling Steel.  One company helped engineer and build two of America's most famous and historical bridges.    Photographer: Dylan Carpowich
