Wieghorst Composed of both warm and cool colors, this painting perfectly captures a sense of the peace and stillness that comes from living in a secluded, wooded area. Two structures with thatched roofs sit to the left of a small stream which runs down the center of the composition. A small wooden crossing bridges the rocky stream. The area feels isolated and calm as the sun gently illuminates the right side of the painting. Though the mountains appear slightly hazy, they are majestic, jagged, and covered in green plant life.
