Broc Cellars "Got Grapes" Cortese 2021

An unusual, 100% Californian Cortese from Lost Slough Vineyard.  Cortese is seldom found outside of Italy.  In California's generous climate, it takes on a fullness and weight wholly unique to the variety.  Lost Slough Vineyard is a coastal site, and the resulting vintage holds nothing back.  Both broad and saline, it meshes ripeness with oceanic influence for an entirely food-friendly bottling.  Foot stomped and stainless steel fermented.  Aged for five months.   Got Grapes is a yearly novelty.  The original vintage was a red and white blend.  Each year following was something different.  It's a reminder to tug on the thread of curiosity and to try something new.
