Narino Gold Circular Disc Depicting a Coca Chewer

 Colombia SA, Circa 1000 to 1300 AD.    A sizable gold disc with human face displaying coiffure and ear ornaments, bulge in cheek, within a circular framework. Pierced for suspension. Size: 3 ¾ inches diameter + a custom  mount.  Weight: 23.5 gms. XRF elemental analysis shows a characteristic pre-Columbian gold alloy composition with:Gold (Au): 71.45%Silver (Ag): 17.00%Copper (Cu): 11.36%Iron (Fe): 0.20%This composition is consistent with a pre-Columbian alloy of gold, silver, and copper.
