For those not familiar with Pantera or Damage Plans’ Groove Metal, Dimebag might seem like another obscure subject. However, those who are familiar regard Mr. Dimebag Darrell Abbott as a heavy metal virtuoso who was taken from us far too soon. In one of the almost implausible and heinous acts in the history of music, Dimebag was taken from us while on stage in front of a crowd, and more importantly, in front of his brother and drummer, Vinnie Paul Abbott. Already a legendary guitar player amongst people in the heavy metal arena, this cowardly act lifted his influence and admiration to an almost mythical status.
