Liquid Crystal Sheet

This liquid crystal sheet is so sensitive that it can detect and display the print left by the heat of your hand! The sheet remains black except for a 9-degree temperature range. As the temperature increases, the color of the sheets changes from black to red, red to green, green to blue, and finally to black again. Simply touch the material and observe the print left by the heat of your hand or have each of your students place a hand on the sheet and observe as the liquid crystal changes color. Whose hand will turn the sheet blue by giving off the most heat? 6" x 6" (15.25cm x 15.25cm). Changes color between 77-86 F (25-30 C).
