The Albino Peruvian Altum Angelfish (Pterophyllum scalare "Peruvian Altum") is a very uncommon albino variant of the already uncommon Peruvian Altum. It has an extra tall body for its species and for a time was misidentified by some as the uncommon true Altum Angelfish (Pterophyllum altum), which is often wild-caught and much less durable than P. scalare. The extra tall body shape is not as pronounced in juveniles, but becomes much more obvious as this fish approaches maturity. It also boasts a beuatiful pearlescent white color.
