
Willow Books Summer Writing Classes Ancestry & Lineage as Inspiration for Creative Writing
Session Dates: July 6, 13, 20, 27 – 11:00 am to 12:15 pm EST ZOOM Instructor: Tamara J. Madison Course Description: This virtual generative workshop will inspire writers to use family photos, documents, oral histories, as endless inspiration for new work. Each workshop will introduce a new writing concept, reading samples, and prompts for participants to generate new work. Participants should bring notebooks, journals, paper, pens, pencils, laptop or tablets in order to participate in live writing exercises during the sessions. The workshop is designed for adults ages 18 and up. No professional writing experience is required, only a passion for writing. The closing session will allot time for participants to share a sample of their work generated during the series. Due to the short sessions, participants should plan to arrive on time for each session. Participants should also have camera and mic access available. Tamara J.
